Core Competency
AURTTA021 - Diagnose complex system faults
Engine Diagnostics
Master diagnostics for both petrol engines (AURLTE104) and diesel engines (AURLTE105), plus complex engine management systems (AURTTR101)
Vehicle Systems
Learn to diagnose complex faults in braking systems, steering and suspension, automatic transmission, and vehicle safety systems
Course Units
Plus 5 additional elective units covering transmission, engine diagnostics, and safety systems.
Entry Requirements
Domestic Students
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Complete a pre-enrollment interview
  • Undertake OCT's ACSF LLN assessment
  • Have completed an automotive mechanical Certificate III qualification
International Students
  • All domestic requirements plus:
  • Hold a valid and current student visa
  • Meet English language proficiency requirements
  • Complete required English language testing
